Frequently Asked Question

TAURI environmental calibration
Last Updated 3 years ago

TAURI tablets come factory calibrated from the factory. However, variations in environmental conditions do have the potential to impact readings. The calibration process requires that your TAURI tablet be running for approximately 10 minutes prior.

From firmware version 1.4.12 or later, press the gear icon in the bottom right of the TAURI interface, and enter your PIN code (default '12345').

Once logged in, navigate to the "detection" tab. From here, select "Set Environmental Calibration" on the bottom of the page.

From here, follow the on-screen instructions:

  1. Place the panel where it will be used. Power it up and allow it to run for 10 minutes.
  2. Take your body temperature with an accurate thermometer (oral, armpit, forehead, etc.). Enter the value in the box. Make sure to enter a value, as the example text will not calibrate to 98.6.
  3. Stand in front of the tablet between 0.5m and 1m away (about 1.5ft to 3ft). Align your head to the center of the thermal image. Press the "Set" button.

Please keep your face as still as possible in front of the thermal camera for about 10-15 seconds until the calibration process completes. If calibration fails, just try again by tapping "set" until the sensor finds the correct calibration value.
