Regarding the VLX and an overscan setting on the NEC displays:
I had recently worked on another project with VLX and NEC displays, and that client had also run into the same overscan issue, which turned out to be a well hidden setting on the NEC display, not related to the VLX. This is how the other client resolved the issue:

“In the NEC OSD menu, go to menus - pro advanced settings 1 - overscan - turn overscan off.”
