IPBaseT Manager / Rapid Deployment: Duplicate multicast addresses after pushing CSV
Last Updated 3 years ago

This an issue with rapid deployment and how some spreadsheet programs interpret the CSV data. Many spreadsheet programs interpret the host ID column as numbers instead of text and strip off the leading zeroes (ex. 0020 > 20). When that is saved and re-pushed to the devices it can cause the host IDs to become malformed and result in all devices with host IDs less than 1000 having the same multicast IP. It's on our roadmap to fix but in the meantime you can fix the issue 2 ways:

1) In your spreadsheet program, make sure the host ID column is formatted as text and not a number

2) In IPBaseT Manager or from the VLX webpage, re-set the host ID. It may already be populated with the correct value, so you may need to just click set or shift the value and set it back.
